Make your own real coffee on the road
The other day I came across a girl who had one of these mugs. They bought it in the US, but I’ve managed to find one here in Australia. I use it most days and it is excellent for making delicious real coffee or for loose leaf herbal teas.
Remove the plunger, add your coffee or tea, add hot water and replace the plunger. After a few minutes you have a delicious cup of any hot steaming beverage you desire.
For those who like their hot drinks, this light-weight mug will save you money and time when travelling.
TOP TIPS
- If you are making two cups, simply make one at double strength and after it has brewed, pour just over half out into a normal cup and top up with hot water.
- Real ground coffee is much better for you than instant. In the ‘Eat right for your type’ book, apparently it is good for people of blood type A too.
- Be aware that some stronger ground coffees have caffeine artificially added to increase the kick – shaking after a coffee is likely an indicator of this.
