Do you know what your life purpose is?

Do we even have a purpose in life?

How would you know if you’ve found yours?

Here at BackpackerTactics.com, we actually have an ulterior motive. Although we want to provide you with excellent tips and tricks for travelling, what we’re really aiming to do is to help you find your purpose in life.

When I thought about this topic, I realised that although unspoken, we assume there’s a bigger picture that we’re a part of in some way so I decided to check that out first.

To simplify the situation, I decided to minimise the variables and choose an object with quite a unique purpose: a bottle top.

What can you use a bottle top for? It holds beer and other drinks in bottles particularly well, but I know they can be used as mini ash-trays, to chock up a table, in many fun bar games, as a musical instrument and for a handful of other things. However, when do you think it feels most effective?

If a bottle top had emotions, I’d suggest it would be happiest when it was being used for exactly what it was designed. Also, when it comes to effectiveness, it can not be denied that if you didn’t have one and were trying to keep beer in a bottle in the same way a bottle cap does, that you’d have to use a lot of other material, so it’s the most effective at what it does.

This suggests that when something, or someone, is living their purpose, they are most effective and contribute most to the world.
